Happy Halloween

This year the girls wanted to be princesses. Maybe it had something to do with Disneyland... or the fact that Adelyn likes to dust and calls me Step-mother all day... either way, the girls loved dressing up. Adelyn got to dress up for her preschool Halloween Parade, a friends Halloween party, the ward trunk-or-treat, and trick-or-treating on Halloween night. Phheww... it was a lot, but she had fun.

Disneyland

alternative text
Our only family picture at disneyland

Over the UEA holiday we packed our bags and headed to Disneyland, along with Scott's family (and apparently everyone else from Utah). The weather was awesome, we survived the long car ride, and had a great time. We were able to spend 3 days in the parks (Disneyland and California Adventure), and even that was not enough time to get to everything. Adelyn LOVED meeting all the princesses and characters around the park. She also liked riding {most of} the rides, especially the Teacups and Thunder Mountain. Olivia enjoyed the rides that didn't have anything scary on them and seemed intrigued by the Nemo submarine ride. I personally thought the World of Color and the fireworks shows were amazing. I also loved how family friendly Disneyland is and that Adelyn (although just barely 40 inches) could go on most of the rides, like Splash Mountain, Matterhorn, Thunder Mountain, etc. We were not sure if she would like the bigger rides, but to our amazement, she love them all (except Space Mountain which had some very scary Halloween images). We wish we could have stayed longer. It will make some fun family memories.

Buddies (cuddled together watching cartoons)

Adelyn and Olivia had check-ups at the same time: Olivia's 18 month and Adelyn's 4th year. Here are their stats:

Adelyn:
Weight: 31.25 pounds (16%)
Height: 39.5 inches (40%)

Olivia:
Weight: 23.1 pounds (29%)
Height: 32.25 inches (81%)

They are so cute together. They watch out and care for each other. So sweet. I love these girls!

Preschool

Today was Adelyn's first day of preschool. She loved it! I open her car door and she runs right in. So much for tears. She has been waiting for this moment all summer long. I hope her excitement to learns lasts throughout her life.

Random Folk Family Pictures

The other day I went through the pictures on my moms camera. Some of pictures made me laugh, and I had to post a few for memories sake.

The following pictures are taken in Rexburg, at Lindsay and Devin's apartment. We all met there after Lindsay got in her car accident.

(Below: some of the Folk family, cousins (Levi and Adelyn), Lindsay and her broken body, Silly Kayla,   Olivia)

Back in Salt Lake, my mom took a pictures of Adelyn in front of the temple. I though it was cute.

And this next picture made me laugh. My mom and Lindsay stayed at my house and babysat my kids while Scott and I were able to go celebrate his graduation. Everyone is sitting in front of a movie with popcorn. Gotta love it!

Four

I can't believe my little girl just turned four! We were in Washington during her birthday, so she got to celebrate it twice. On the day of her birthday, she woke up and promptly asked me what she gets to do now that she is four. I guess I look a little puzzled and she continued to ask if she gets a new primary class, and if she can now go under the water by herself. Such a big girl. We love her to pieces.
