School Showcase
The girls got to showcase the things they have been working at in their interest clusters at school. Adelyn is in a drawing class, and Olivia is in a musical class (making music from recycled items). Adelyns teacher pulled me aside to tell me that she is very impressed with Adelyns drawing abilities. She is getting very good at sketching. She loves to draw and shade it until it looks realistic. She is very talented.
Adelyn also drew a picture for the Sewer District competition about keeping water clean.

Building tracks
Pearce loves to build train tracks. He will do it all over the house. He thinks hard about it and works until it is finished.

Saint Patricks Day
We don't normally celebrate St. Patricks day around here. I never did as a kid and have never gotten in to it. I failed to realize that my kids were being feed information about how fun the holiday is from friends at school. Since the leprechauns didn't come to our house, they decided to decorate before I got up in the morning. They wrote all over toilet paper and strung it around the house. I love the creativity the kids have.

Birthday Party
Olivia got to have a family birthday party in addition to her friend party. She got many gifts she wanted and loved. She was able to go to Build a Bear with Christine and Micheal to pick out a special bear. She named her Windy. We sure love having this kind, loving, smart, beautiful girl in our family.

Lion House Birthday Party
For Olivia's 8th birthday she got to hold her birthday party at the Lion House. It is always special to have a party there. The kids got to tour the Lion House, pull taffy, play games, eat cake and ice cream and have a good time together. Olivia found the gumball in her piece of cake, so she gets good luck all year and she picked the 50th edition lion for her special gift!

Haircut
Adelyn has been begging for weeks to have bangs cut. I do not know how to do that (and make it look good) so I told her she would need to save up her money and pay for a haircut. She did just that. She saved money and paid for it herself. She was very proud to act like a grown up and tell the salon what she wanted. I am proud of her for following through on a goal she had.
