Random Folk Family Pictures

The other day I went through the pictures on my moms camera. Some of pictures made me laugh, and I had to post a few for memories sake.

The following pictures are taken in Rexburg, at Lindsay and Devin's apartment. We all met there after Lindsay got in her car accident.

(Below: some of the Folk family, cousins (Levi and Adelyn), Lindsay and her broken body, Silly Kayla,   Olivia)

And this next picture made me laugh. My mom and Lindsay stayed at my house and babysat my kids while Scott and I were able to go celebrate his graduation. Everyone is sitting in front of a movie with popcorn. Gotta love it!

Fun in Washington

While in Washington, we got to do a lot of fun things. The girls had a blast playing in the new playhouse, jumping on the trampoline, going jeeping with poppi, playing with the dogs, making a mess out of sand, walking up the creek, swinging on the swings, and having campfires on the deck. We miss it already.

Time with Aunt Kayla

Adelyn got to spend some time doing special activities with Aunt Kayla. They got to go to the dollar movie and see Charlotte's Web, paint nails, and play dress up.

Lost Lake

While in Washington there were only a handful of nice days. On one of those days my parents and I packed up the girls and took a hike to Lost Lake. This is one of my favorite places on earth. We used to hike in and camp there often while growing up. We hardly ever saw another soul and would play to our hearts content making rafts from drift wood, going on hikes, exploring the woods, and eating lots of great (camping) food. I love the seclusion and peace there. It is beautiful. Ahhh.

On the way back to the car we took a short detour to Quinn Lake. Although we never camp at this lake, I love it because of the color of the water. This picture does not really do it justice.

There is some beautiful places in Washington (that you would never see in the Utah desert). I miss it.

Pacific Science Center

While in Washington were able to go visit the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. The girls had a blast. They got to do all sorts of things like touch starfish, play with water and musical instruments, go through the butterfly room, learn about dinosaurs, and just have fun.

Fireworks

On a Friday night we got together with Scott's family for some fireworks. We had a lot of fun. Fire always brings out the "big kid" in the adults. Scott had a few leftover fireworks from the first year we were married and lived in WA. He bought them off the Indian Reservation and haven't used them because they were illegal. Firework laws in UT have been been changed (less restrictive) so Scott thought he would try to set one off. The aerial firework was lit, but it didn't shoot into the air and it blew up on the ground, sending fireworks towards people, homes, and cars. Luckily no one got hurt and nothing started on fire. Note to self (or Scott): Old fireworks = bad news!

We think this firework got lit wrong, as the whole thing went up in flames (still cool, though)

Brigham City Temple

My mom, Lindsay and her boys decided to come down from Idaho to see Moroni being placed on the top of the Brigham City Temple. Katie and I also met them there, with kids in tow. It started out rainy and windy, delaying the placement of Moroni. Placement was scheduled at noon, but after almost two hours of waiting, a public prayer and primary song, Moroni was finally lifted to the top of the temple.
