Ear Piercing
This Christmas Adelyn asked Santa for pierced ears. I told her that Santa couldn't come and pierce her ears. She thought about this and decided to ask for a certificate to go get her ears pierced instead. She is a thinker. Always coming up with solutions to her problems. Santa granted her wish with a gift certificate, and we all watched her get her ears pierced. She has wanted this for a while and was very brave. There was no flinching or crying. She feels like a grown up now. This was a hard thing for us (as parents) to let her do. We dont want her to grow up! However, Adelyn has proven to be very responsible about taking care of her body (often getting up early, before school, taking her alarm clock to the bathroom so she can watch the clock while she showers).

Crawling!
Pearce started crawling at 8.5 months, while we were at Nana and Popi's house for Christmas. He loves to move and get into trouble. Pearce mostly loves to crawl to something so he can stand up and try climbing. Grandma Moss says that Pearce acts just like Scott did when he was a baby. He would crawl to something and try to climb up, or start pulling things off shelves. Pearce knows he is being mischievous, and smiles and tries to be fast about whatever he is doing. Makes me laugh.

Christmas Celebrations
This year we traveled up to Washington to spend Christmas with the Folk family. We got to fly! Yay! There was a big Christmas Eve party where we played a lot of fun games and ate great food. The girls got wrapped up in toilet paper to see who could become the best snowman. We also played chimes (tradition). On Christmas morning we opened presents with Nana, Poppi, Kayla, Mitch, Jackson and Grandma GG. We were definitely spoiled (by Santa and family). This year, our family got a trip to Walt Disney World (in April). We are excited. It was a fun holiday.

Christmas with the Moss'
This year we traveled up to Washington to spend Christmas with the Folks, so we celebrated Christmas a little early with the Moss'. We got together, had a big lunch and opened presents. Everyone got some fun things and Pearce liked ripping the wrapping off presents.

Elf on the Shelf
Our Elf (Sparkles) came back to visit us this year. She did some funny things, like made mini candy canes, made a snowman from toilet paper, ate candy and syrup, and hid a lot of different places. The girls would wake up each morning excited to look for Sparkles.

Gingerbread Houses
One night Sparkles, our elf, left us some gingerbread houses to decorate. We invited Christine, Michael and Grandpa Moss to come over and decorate the gingerbread houses with us. It was fun decorating and spending time with family. Sarah and Olivia worked on one, and Scott and Adelyn worked together. The girls were proud of their masterpieces.

Christmas Concert
Adelyn had her second grade Christmas concert. It was fun watching her sing and dance. She ended up on the end of the bleachers, with barely enough room to stand. While the kids were dancing she would almost fall off and she would grab the kid next to her. He didn't like that at all and kept trying to get her to let go of him. I could see the frustration in Adelyns face and felt bad for her. She wanted to cry. Despite her bad placement, she did an amazing job and we are very proud of her.

Playing in the leaves
It's that time of year again. Time to clean up the leaves. It cant be done without some fun though. Add in a friend and you've got a party! Morgan Ashton is currently Olivia's best friend. They are awesome buddies. We love the Ashton family.
Temple Square Lights
We decided to brave the crowds and go see the Temple Square lights. It ended up being way too crowded for us and we didn't stay long. December this year has been nice and warm, and it was nice to see a few lights. This is our only picture.
