Still Optimistic

Sarah: "A $100 bill came from the doctor today"
Scott: "Hmmm... I wonder why?"
Sarah: "You can look at it, its on the dresser"
Scott (looking through the opened mail): "Where is it??"
Sarah: "It's there"
Scott: "I dont see it" (scanning the floor incase he dropped something)
Sarah (looking at Scott): "It's in your hand"
Scott: "Where??" (holding out the papers)
Sarah (pointing to the bill): "This one"
Scott: "Oh!! I thought you meant that I got a hundred dollar bill (money) from the doctor"
Sarah (laughing): "Why would a doctor send you that??"
Scott: "I guess I thought I got lucky, like a prize drawing or something"
Sarah (still laughing): "Atleast you are optimistic!"

Learning to eat with a spoon...

Occasionally we let Addie try to learn to feed herself with a spoon. It's a messy business. Most of the time, she likes to eat with her fingers and bang the spoon on the tray.

Congrats Alyssa and Jake!!

Alyssa and Jake were married on Thursday, May 22. It was a big day. They had planned for an outside reception, but the rain made the ground too soggy and the air too cold. So, the reception was indoors, but it turned out well (I thought). Anyways, I thought I would post a few pictures. Congrats to the cute couple!!

And a few pictures of Addie (playing in the water and pulling the petals off the flowers)... Jakes mother made her dress (the colors were bright pink and dark blue).

The year for "firsts"... first time she crawls, plays in the sand, etc. Well, here is a picture of Addie eating her first watermelon. We thought it was so stinkin' cute. She loves watermelon! She must be her mothers girl. Yum Yum.

The other day we threw Alyssa a bridal shower. The party was themed "a night at the movies", with tons of junk food, and I think everyone had a lot of fun. We played the game where Alyssa had to put on a piece of clothing every time she got a question wrong about the groom... hence why she is wearing so many silly pieces of clothing. The wedding is in a week... lots to do. Here are some pictures: (My camera was being funny... I struggled with it to take clear pictures, but you get the idea, sorry).

This morning Addie was fussing in her room and when I decided to check on her I discovered that she was standing up!! We found out the other day that she can pull herself to standing if she is sitting (she loves to do this in the tub -scary-), but I didnt think she could get to sitting/standing from laying yet. She is also crawling. She has been doing the army crawl on her tummy, but has discovered that it is faster to be up on her knees. She knows how to get to her knees from a sitting position, but once she falls to her tummy she continues to do the army crawl. And here she is heading for the stairs... better get a gate.
