For the ward talent show, the Sunbeam B class (Adelyn's class) sang Popcorn Popping. Adelyn loved it. Here is the video. We were not sitting as close as we should have been, but if you listen carefully you can hear her yelling (at the beginning and end of the song.)

Easter Brunch
The Saturday before Easter, we were invited to brunch at Aunt Cathy's. It included yummy food, good company, and a fun Easter egg hunt. Some of the eggs had a surprise in them: money! Adelyn made out well, acquiring five dollars. It is always fun partying with the extended family.

Easter Egg Hunt
A few days before Easter, a few of us in the neighborhood got together for a quick Easter egg hunt. Each child brings ten filled eggs, and leaves with ten new eggs. The kids love it, even if the eggs are not really hidden. And I have to admit that the adults love any excuse to get together.

Silly Goose
Adelyn (while in the car): "Red means stop, green means go"
Aunt Alyssa: "What does yellow mean?"
Adelyn: "Slow down or get out of the way!"
Adelyn: "Mom, somebody loves you"
Sarah: "Really? Who?"
Adelyn: "Me!"
Like most young girls, Adelyn is obsessed with Cinderella. She pretends to dance around the house, frequently calls me "step-mother", and loves to go around the house dusting.
During a family home evening lesson about commandments and things we should do, we asked if Adelyn if she had any examples. She stated: "don't let trees fall on us". I guess that is important too.
I find it humorous that Adelyn refers to most jobs as a "she" job. "She needs to mow her lawn", "She needs to kill the weeds", "She needs to take out the trash". It will be nice when Scott is around to do some of these jobs.

Nicknames
When Olivia was born it was difficult for Adelyn to say her name. This is how Olivia's nicknames have evolved (out of Adelyn's mouth):
Love-ya (at birth, which stuck for months)
Love-her (a few days later, but didn't last long)
Livie (cant quite remember when this started)
Olive (calls her that around dad)
Livie-Lu (started about a month or so ago, probably because her friend's nickname is Lu {Lucy})
Adelyn can say "Olivia", but rarely does. She mostly uses the nickname "Livie" (as do the rest of us). It has been fun to watch Adelyn give Olivia different nicknames. They get along great. I love these girls.

Girls Night
The other night Adelyn and I were able to do a girls night. Our friends next door invited us to go to the play "The Music Man". The play was put on by the Salt Lake Butler Stake. It was pretty incredible. The actors/singers were very talented. They were invited to perform at the Conference Center. At first I thought it would be more like a roadshow, since it was put on by a Stake. But in reality, it was just like a professional musical. Adelyn did pretty good about trying to pay attention and sit still. Overall, we had a great time and it was fun to go out with friends.

Birthday Party
On Saturday we got together with Scott's family and celebrated Olivia's birthday. Olivia loved the attention, and it is always fun to get together with family.
Birthdays are always a great reason to party!
