Broken Arm
Olivia crashed on her scooter, causing a broken arm. We rushed her up to Primary Children's Hospital, where she was put to sleep so the doctors could try to re-set the bones. However, after trying for almost an hour, the doctors decided to stop trying to re-set the bones for fear of making things worse. They lined the broken bones up side-by-side (bayonet apposition) and will let them heal that way. Poor girl was in a lot of pain for a week.
She will have a cast put on all the way up to her armpit for three weeks and then will get a smaller cast for 4+ weeks. Olivia had to stop her dance class and soccer, but she is in good spirits.
