OIT Again

Adelyn had a couple of major reactions after graduating OIT. She broke out in full body hives, tummy ache, throat itching, and in a lot of pain. We probably should have administered the Epi-pen but instead dosed with her steroids and allergy medication. We were concerned and decided (along with the allergist) to go back down to a half maintenance dose (1.5 TBL) and start the program again from there. It took about two more months to graduate, but it was worth it. So Adelyn graduated again in March. I am proud of her for being so determined and brave.

Olivia Stats

Olivia's growth over the years: Five years old: 45" Six years old: 47.5" Seven years old: 51" Growing up so fast!

Olivia's birthday

Olivia turned 7! For her birthday she wanted a friend party. We made invitations and she passed them out to her friends. Unannounced to me, Olivia made extra copies of the invitation and invited more friends than I had planned. Last minute we had to gather extra supplies. Her party was a "pizza party" where the kids made chef hats and their own pizzas. Olivia got to open her presents and enjoyed some "under the sea" cupcakes (made by Nana). Later, there was a family party for Olivia. What a fun day! She received many gifts and had a great time!

Aquarium with friends

Pearce and I got to go the the Living Planet Aquarium with friends, where we touched lizards and held birds. It is a fun place to visit.

Train

We thought Pearce would enjoy the looking at the big train (since he LOVES to play trains) but he did not want to LOOK... he wanted to get on it! Hence the angry face. Oh, well.

Arizona

After Disneyland, we took a trip out to Arizona to visit Lindsay and her family. It was so fun to see cousins and enjoy some time together before heading home. On the way we stopped at the Hoover Dam. It is spectacular!
