Scott

Back in 2014 Scott started having migraines and other weird symptoms. We had a CAT scan and MRI with no answers. It was concerning for Scott as he was unsure what was going on with his body. In January of 2015 he hastily ate a piece of chicken while in a hurry. The piece of chicken got stuck in his throat. He was able to breathe but could not get the stuck chicken to move up or down. He tried vomiting, swallowing more food, etc. No luck. We went to the ER and had to do an emergency scope to get it out. While doing the scope the doctor found indications of EoE. The doctor told us that is it most likely from an allergy (gluten or milk). Scott has always dealt with horrible heart burn and that may contribute as well. We were unsure what to do with this information, but decided to go gluten free to see if that helped. Scott's symptoms started to improve within a couple of months. He also cut out milk products and that helped also. Scott has regular scope's done to see how he is healing. Here he is, probably his 3rd scope. We still have a long way to figure out what else may be going on, but we are blessed to have had a doctor enlighten us on things that would improve his health. Gluten/dairy free is not always easy (especially with Adelyn being egg-free too) but health is a priority for us.
