Family Night

This is what family night looks like around our house. We were watching some bible videos and the girls crowd around Scott while Pearce climbs all over him. Scott is such a great father and the kids love him.

9 Months!

Pearce has turned nine months old! I can not believe it!

Here are his stats:
Height: 27.5 inches (22%)
Weight: 17.6 pounds (8%)
Head Circumference: 18.1 inches (69%)

He is a little guy right now. It is kinda nice, that way my arms don't fall off from carrying him all the time. He likes to be held, but not cuddled. He is still a fussy baby and wont take any kind of formula. We've tried Gentlease, Soy, and Alimentum, and he hates them all. We have also tried rice milk and almond milk. No go. I really don't know what to transition him to... we still nurse a couple times a day, but I can tell my milk supply is drying up and I don't know what to give him instead. He loves juice and water, but that is not enough for this little guy. Pearce is the best eater and loves meat. He eats a ton (way more than the girls ever did) and is happiest when his belly is full. He is not a very good napper, but will sleep well at night. He loves to crawl and climb on everything. He is slow to smile and laugh but when you can get him to it lights up the room. He loves to dance and wave "bye-bye". Love him so much!

A Few of Olivia's Favorite Things

Olivia likes to get a hold of the phone and take pictures and make videos. I love looking through my pictures to see what pictures she has taken. Here are a few pictures of things she loves. She loves her dog Bolt. He goes everywhere with her. She loves to put a leash on him and drag him around the house. When we leave the house to go places in which Bolt cant come, She props him up and has him guard her stuff (like chapstick). She also loves her frozen lunch box. She uses it to put her special stuff in (chapstick, jewelry, money, etc). She also loves her doll (named Ginger), and princesses. Olivia is very particular about what she likes and is full of personality. We love it.

Snow

It snowed in Utah while we were in Washington. The girls got right out and played in it. Unfortunately for them, the snow melted soon after and hasn't come back all winter. It has been an amazingly warm winter (but I'm not complaining). We haven't been able to use the sleds Santa gave us. Oh, well.

Polar Dip

While in Washington Aunt Kayla convinced Adelyn to participate in a polar dip with her. They jumped into Deep Lake in Enumclaw. There was ice on the edges of the lake. Adelyn was the youngest participant and she didn't get completely submerged in the water due to the fact that she just got her ears pierced and shouldn't be swimming yet. She was very brave and ran right in. Afterwards, Scott poured warm water on her and Popi cuddled her in the towel.

Ear Piercing

This Christmas Adelyn asked Santa for pierced ears. I told her that Santa couldn't come and pierce her ears. She thought about this and decided to ask for a certificate to go get her ears pierced instead. She is a thinker. Always coming up with solutions to her problems. Santa granted her wish with a gift certificate, and we all watched her get her ears pierced. She has wanted this for a while and was very brave. There was no flinching or crying. She feels like a grown up now. This was a hard thing for us (as parents) to let her do. We dont want her to grow up! However, Adelyn has proven to be very responsible about taking care of her body (often getting up early, before school, taking her alarm clock to the bathroom so she can watch the clock while she showers).

End of year recap
