Love/Hate Relationship
I thought this was so funny.
On Adelyn's back to school interview she stated that the food she hates the most is raw broccoli... but apparently if it is cooked, she loves it! That girl cracks me up!
Girls
I thought I would give some updates on the girls. Adelyn is definitely a "daddy's girl". She panics if she wakes up and thinks that dad has gone to work without saying good-bye. She makes her way into our bed almost every single night. She is so quiet I don't notice. She snuggles up to Scott (which he loves). She has been liking school and we are impressed with how fast she is learning. She has become a great reader and she loves math. Her teacher, Ms. Huber, has described her as "possibly perfect". She notices others and is very helpful. She is very social, but also is good at following directions. Every day she asks if a friend can come over. She admires her dad but wants to be like her mom sometimes. Adelyn is sensitive to her feelings (and other peoples feeling too). She loves her little sister. Adelyn also loves to play games, do puzzles, play soccer, dance, exercise, watch Curious George, color, and write letters to cousin Levi.
Olivia is definitely a "mommy's girl". She loves to hang out with me, no matter what it is. She is my shopping buddy. Olivia has recently potty trained (except for nighttime) and is was a relatively smooth process. We recently moved both girls into a room together and they love it. Now Olivia notices when Adelyn leaves during the night to climb in our bed, and Olivia has started to do the same thing (making for a very crowded bed). She loves to cuddle and get her arms, back, or legs scratched. Olivia is pretty shy, but does surprise us occasionally by being outgoing and social. She is tall for her age and has been growing a lot. Olivia loves breakfast and milk. She typically eats 2-4 bowls of cereal, but will hardly eat lunch or dinner. She is starting to love friends and asks to play with them often. Olivia loves Adelyn and will often mimic her (especially when we practice sound cards for homework). Olivia will often say how much she misses Adelyn while she is gone. Olivia likes to play games, play with her ponies, babies, color, play with tape and scissors, watch Curious George, and make treats.
One of my most favorite things about parenting (among others) has been putting my hand out and automatically a small hand reaches out to hold mine. They are growing up too fast and wont want to do that soon. We love these girls more than words can describe.

Halloween
This year the girls were dressed up as a "cowgirl" and an "Indian". They had fun chasing each other around. That week we carved pumpkins and decorated our door as a monster. Then on Halloween we had dinner with friends and went trick-or-treating together. The girls loved asking for candy and would run from house to house. Our neighborhood was populated with tons of kids and adults. We all had fun!

Black Island Farms
For a fun fall activity we headed up to Black Island Farms with Scott's family. We did the corn mazes, strolled by the farm animals, met some princesses and watched the girls have tons of fun on the slides. It was a great evening to be out and everyone had fun.

Zoo with Friends
On a nice, cool morning we were invited to go to the zoo with friends. The girls love looking at the animals and playing on statues. We had a great time.
