Graduate

We have a new graduate in our home. Scott finished up his last test of grad school! He now has a MBA and we couldn't be more proud of him. We decided to surprise (and embarrass) him a bit by having a sign on the garage and family over for dessert after his last test.

Brigham City Temple

My mom, Lindsay and her boys decided to come down from Idaho to see Moroni being placed on the top of the Brigham City Temple. Katie and I also met them there, with kids in tow. It started out rainy and windy, delaying the placement of Moroni. Placement was scheduled at noon, but after almost two hours of waiting, a public prayer and primary song, Moroni was finally lifted to the top of the temple.

Daddy-Daughter Campout

The ward annual "Father and Kids" campout was only miles from our home, but Adelyn looked forward to it with excitement. She loves marshmallows, playing in dirt, staying up late, sleeping in a tent, and just plain having a good 'ol time with dad. Next year Olivia will be old enough to join the fun.

Temple Square

We had promised the girls a trip to the zoo, but upon arrival it was packed full (apparently it was free Military day). So we decided to head to temple square instead. We took a short walk around the temple and headed over to the conference center and took a short tour of the roof. If you haven't had a chance to go on top of the conference center, we would recommend it. It was beautiful and much larger than anticipated.

Verlin Clark Stephens

Verlin is Scott's grandfather. Sadly, he passed away this week. His funeral services were held today. It was nice to see extended family we don't get to see very often, listen to all the great stories about grandpa, and celebrate his return home to his Heavenly Father. I was amazed and inspired by all the wonderful things said about Verlin. He will be greatly missed.

Graduation

Even though Scott will not actually be done with his PMBA program until August, he was able to walk at the Spring Graduation. It was a fun experience to watch him walk, receive his {empty} diploma, and be a part of the festivities. Here is the video of him walking (just in case you wanted to experience graduation too):

The real party will be in August! He is almost there!

End of year recap

January 6th the girls did a great job on their piano recital. January 7th Olivia did French Club. January 11th Olivia had her first basketba...
