Silly Goose

As Adelyn grows, the sillier she gets. I thought it was about time to start recording some of the silly things she says/does.

Scott and I just got new callings and after church we went to be set apart. Scott was set apart first, followed by me. With each turn we would remind the 1st Counselor what our full names were. After I was done, Addie jumped into the chair and exclaimed: "It's MY turn! My name is Adelyn Christine Moss!" We all got a good chuckle.

The other day Addie was complaining that her tummy was hurting. Scott got her a tums and said that it would make her tummy feel better. Addie took the tums and rubbed it all over her stomach.

Another day (awhile ago) Addie was stating that "Addie lives at home", then to include "mom lives at home too". Looking confused she added, "but where does daddy live?" I guess he has been spending too much time at work and school.

On Sunday the person that was passing the sacrament to our row had a {slightly overgrown} goatee. Adelyn jumped up and stated {rather loudly}, "He looks like a goat! The goat has the water!"

Joy School

This year we decided to put Addie in Joy School. She has had a lot of fun and loves the social interaction. We get to host every 6 weeks. Today was our turn, and sometimes I seriously wonder who needs toys when you have a chair that spins?

Say Cheese!

Adelyn was sitting on Scott's lap and wanted to get her picture taken. She had such a cute smile, it was irresistible. And then I jumped in to complete the family picture {but of course the kids were tired of smiling by then}

On New Years Day Scott, Adelyn, Uncle Devin, and cousin Levi went sledding. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a blast.

Christmas

We usually videotape Christmas morning, which usually means the camera gets forgotten. Here are the few pictures we have.

Addie's special present was a new bike. She had a tricycle that got taken away a few months ago (after a tantrum and refusal to ride it home) and has been asking for a new bike. She is getting too big for the tricycle so we upgraded, but this bike is a little too big. That didn't stop her from trying it out. As you can see, we didn't have any snow on Christmas, so out she went for a test drive (pajamas and all).

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we decided to head over to the Children's Museum to work off some of the Christmas (Santa Clause is coming tonight) anxieties. Addie loves the Museum, but was especially happy today to share the fun with dad.

After some fun at the Museum, we headed for the Grand America for a little scavenger hunt. You had to roam the halls to find all the ABC's of Christmas, ending at their bakery for a free cookie. It was fun. Later we went up to Great Grandma and Grandpa Stephens for a Christmas Eve dinner. We had a great time.

Heritage Park

Every year we try to get together with the Moss extended family at "This is the Place- Heritage Park". It is fun to see all the aunts, uncles, and cousins. We enjoy visiting the old homes (including the home of Brigham Young), taking a picture with Father Christmas, dancing in the dance hall, watching people ink new Christmas cards at the press house, ride the "train" (with wheels), pet animals, and just be with family.

The best part is the dance hall. Everyone has a great time, including Addie who thought she was the center of attention.
